I tried ombre first but it wasn't coming out right, so tried a complex sponge scheme and the translucency of the glaze caused some colors to appear to mix creating unintended consequences that threatened to unravel the very fabric of spacetime itself! Or at least unravel it on my walls in the spare bedroom, a disaster. Finally I said, "If bored housewives can do this, I should be able to do this" But the 3rd time was the charm. Subtle is the keyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910870719178733183.post-40744489572237261462020-02-16T19:45:10.842-05:002020-02-16T19:45:10.842-05:00I like the oak cabinets, the whole white on white ...I like the oak cabinets, the whole white on white minimal trend is disgustingly white bread bland. lol I also like the celestial motif, I feel it can still work today but in a more subtle way. I would take the best, most relaxing bubble baths ever. The best part was my husband who is 6'4 could also stretch out and relax in that sort of tub. I'm buying a house from the 50s and thinking of updating it, but the thought that in just 10 years people will be looking at my 50k investment and laughing at how 2010 it is irks me.

And part of me wants to join that movement to save 1950's decor and keep the personality of the house, but I cannot tolerate tiny pink bathrooms and boomerang countertops. :sigh:Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
